What is common among people outside the scientific fields (business, art, etc) is that they have this understanding that scientific knowledge today is the completer truth. They think that what is written in science text book is a 100% real fact and it cannot be wrong. This way of thinking is of course not true at all.

Scientific people know that science is filled with doubt, mystery and question. There is more that we don’t know, that what we can’t answer then those that we can answer and know about. Even those that we can answer we can’t say that our answer is the 100% truth.

Scientific fact, theory or concepts are merely guesses of what we think is happening. Then again of course we don’t write our guesses in scientific publication. We change the word to theory, hypothesis or inference, usually making guesses are the second step in scientific methodology after making observation.

Onwards after a scientist make a guess (read theory), he himself or other scientist will test that theory in experiment, if the outcome of the experiment is consistent with the theory. Than the theory well gain acceptance from some of the scientific body. As time progress and more test are done to the theory and each time the outcome with the theory, it then will become a law of science (law of momentum, law of energy conservation, etc)

But even these laws are not 100% true, most of laws have limitation in which condition it works. The law Newton for example is not true we entering the realms of nano or close to speed of light. The law will crumble and will not give true result. Finding where and how this law are broken are actually the biggest pursue in science.
Yes we scientist want to brake our law, we want to show that existent scientific fact are wrong, and those whom succeed showing this will win a noble prize. The winner of the 2008, Yoichiro Nambu and the gang receive Nobel prize because their work show that one of the most profound and fundamental law which is call parity are not true.

So if even we scientist does not accept the scientific knowledge are 100% true and we pursue to show it is not true then why people outside the scientific body should thought that scientific fact are completely true?

The purpose I wrote this is to show that scientific knowledge is not the truth, not the complete truth and it should not be the thing we hold our life onto. So many people put their life and hope on medicine, pharmacy and other science related fields, believing this is the modern miracle. Worse are those people whom put science are their religion, replacing god with scientific knowledge. Putting believes and hope to science is like putting it on a stranger, it can turn back on you anytime.

Please stop making science as your religion.
